Our All-Star

We are so proud of Riley for making the 2013 PeeWee Softball All-Star team! This has kept us super busy this month with practice almost every night and now games. So far we are 2-1. We finished Pool Play games last night and our first bracket game is tomorrow night at 8 against Columbus in Bellville. This group of girls are just awesome! Every game has been exciting! This is such a good experience for Riley and I love to see her shine at something she loves. GO WC!

It's official...

...I am THE WORST blogger ever! I apologize for the lapse in time since my last post but to say we've been busy is a MAJOR understatement!

Since last September we have welcomed baby Olivia Kate into the world, moved, got two new dogs, lost the dogs, found the dogs, mourned one of the dogs, cheered on the cubs, celebrated birthdays, first reconciliation, first communion, Halloween, Christmas, first communion, and spent many, many, MANY nights at the soccer and softball fields. So, here is the last 9 months in pictures!

My confession to you...

As a mother, we go through so many mixed emotions, ups and downs with our childern. We want whats best for them but want them to learn from their mistakes. I sit here at work waiting to go pick up Riley from soccer practice and am just torn right now. I have rearranged my office, not once but twice, just to put it back to the way it was before with the exception of a few minor changes. And the reason for this madness is I receieved a phone call from one of Riley's teachers a little earlier to inform me that Riley had not done well on her science test today. She proceeds to tell me that it is not because she does not know the material, because she gets every answer right when she is called on. So I sit at work, arranging and rearranging, trying to sort through the emotions I have right now. I see too often on FB or other social media sites the "PERFECT" little families with the perfect life. This is my confession to you, my life is not perfect, my child is not perfect, I am not perfect nor is my husband. We yell and argue, mornings tend to be a nightmare around our house, but we learn from each and every disagreement. We love each other and support each other, but still we are not, and never will be, perfect.

It's the MOST wonderful time....

...or shall I say my F*A*V*O*R*I*T*E time of the year! School is back in session, schedules are back on track, the weather is getting cooler (and was pretty amazing today) and of course, it's Washington County Fair time! I absolutely love the fair! After participating in it for 10 years, I guess it was inevitable. I am so excited to watch my little sister show this week for the first time and even more excited that we already have three heifers in the lot for next years fair for Riley to show (although I keep reminding my husband she can only show two, I think he is a little more excited than me :)). Good luck to all the exhibitors and see you at the FAIR!

Sweet Caroline

Meet my beautiful niece, Caroline Elizabeth Doege, born June 3, 2012. After a 3am trip to San Antonio (after a mid-night phone call that Dawn's water broke) and an eight hour wait after we got to the hospital, she finally arrived at 2:40pm. I was a little sad that Riley did not get to make the trip due to her summer stay with her dad, but that just means we get to make a trip to visit soon!

Where Has The Year Gone?

Wow, I canNOT believe that it is almost the end of May! It is crazy how time just flies right past us! I have to admit I usually dread summer, don't get me wrong I *LOVE* the season, I just HATE that my kiddo is gone for half of the summertime. But, this year I think I got the good end of her summer schedule and that makes me VERY happy :) So if you are wondering what we have been up to lately here is a little look!

The year started out not-so-great for me as I attempted to try to cut my finger off.
(Just incase your wondering it was NOT on purpose and is still fully intact :))

We helped my sister and brother-in-law move from San Antonio to La Vernia

Bradley and I took a minication to Lauberge
in March with some great friends

In April we finished soccer and started softball. Thats Riley at Pitcher!

Maifest - Fire Breathing Dragons!

Finally a weekend with a little downtime

1st Grade Award Program -
I can't believe how grown-up my *BABY* has become

This is just the bare minimum of what all we've been up to. I coached her soccer team and am one of her softball coaches so I am lacking in the picture taking lately :/ We are looking forward to the arrival of our new niece/cousin Caroline Elizabeth Doege and the gender reveal of Baby Fuchs all in the next couple of weeks!! Along with some long awaited advancements at work for me.
Happy Summer Y'all!

It's Been Awhile...

Ok, ok, I know...I get the bad blogger award for the month. Things have just been SSSOOOOO busy for our little family. We have had Halloween, soccer, end of season party for soccer and much, much more. And unfortunately, I left my camera in the bathroom at Riley's school after her Halloween parade and did not realize it until that night and no one turned it in ): so, I have not pictures to post. Hopefully I will get a new one soon! (hint, hint honey ). Thankfully, Riley's extra-curricular activities have ended until the spring, just in time for the holiday craziness to start! Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!
